Depends on you, do you want harder, easier or just different?

That isn't a mod pack, it is an ENB.

My suggestion is the find some popular mods in the workshop (list it by popularity and make sure it is of all time) and in the description of many of these mods, they have "collections" that are basically mod packs. Make sure the collection has decent ratings, that will show all the mods work together. Once you find one, you can press a button to subscribe to them all. Make sure to enable them when you launch Kenshi on the mods tab.

In the workshop, you can also search for collections and sort those by popularity. You do that by going on the main page of the workshop, and on the left side of the screen you see a tab called "Browse". Press that and turn it to "Collections".

A lot of the mods seem buggy tho according to the comments, especially the early ones

Which collection are you referring to? There are thousands of them. If you want to know specifically what mods are widely considered good, then go to the workshop and sort by popularity. I'm not sure exactly what else you are asking for?

256 recruitment limit + prisoner recruitment mod, this 2 mods will make the game easier and at same time not very OP, in a sense you won't feel that you're cheezing the game,

As you play and progressed, you will realize that to play the game without this 2 mod is the best, then you can start second play through without.

check out the collections section of the kenshi workshop. Some good mod packs there. I'm using vanilla+ collection currently with some additional mods I selected like 256 recruitment limit, and some katana mods (breath of water, realistic katana)

will probably try out project genesis on next playthrough
