My suggestion is the find some popular mods in the workshop (list it by popularity and make sure it is of all time) and in the description of many of these mods, they have "collections" that are basically mod packs. Make sure the collection has decent ratings, that will show all the mods work together. Once you find one, you can press a button to subscribe to them all. Make sure to enable them when you launch Kenshi on the mods tab.
In the workshop, you can also search for collections and sort those by popularity. You do that by going on the main page of the workshop, and on the left side of the screen you see a tab called "Browse". Press that and turn it to "Collections".
As you play and progressed, you will realize that to play the game without this 2 mod is the best, then you can start second play through without.
will probably try out project genesis on next playthrough
