I wouldn't have to go through all this if Thieves Backpack wasn't nerfed in the mod as I'm perfectly content with that backpack. Oh well! I suppose it gives the game a sense of progression, even if it's just with backpacks. Slight inconvenience.
I originally stumbled upon Gen Mod while searching for an item stack mod. I slapped it on and have had it ever since.
Is it worth using? Hm, I think that depends on if there are multiple features that you like that's in the mod and you cannot find anywhere else.
Some features of Gen Mod that I like:
- Item stacks
- Separate storages
- Clothes have stats
- Darker Nights
- Attack slots x3
- Mercenary changes (can hire for longer periods of time)
- More technologies
- Training dummies
- New Starts (I spawned as a lone Wanderer in Flats Lagoon for example)
- Alpha animals (one of my fav features)
- Writing Desk
I know some of the features I listed above can be found from other mods but was just listing some that I enjoy having in my games.
There are also mod unique recruits that aren't "op", such as Elaina and Neda. Both ladies I have recruited in previous games. ^.^
I'll switch to online so we can chat. What knowledge I do have is mostly from google. lol.
