can't upgrade to science bench tier 2

so after starting to add mods for the extra difficulty and flavor , started noticing a few bugs; after the disappearing NPC in most of the towns apart from the starting one (which was solve importing ) now i can't find the option to upgrade my science benches to level 2 no option in the build or research menus. what am I doing wrong...ummmm help?????!!!


edit:FOUND THE BUUUUUUGGGG the issue is that the secondary researches don't appear, however if you click and hover right under training topic you'll get the rest of the stuff - upgrade to different tiers and the other mod/vanilla researches.. the training or the other main topics won't highlight when you use this tough

Left click on the bench. There will be an "upgrade/dismantle" button in the bottom left corner.

It should be called Research Bench II under the category TECH

I'm pretty sure you can't upgrade from the Small Research Bench to the regular one since they have different building models. You can upgrade from T2 to T3 though.

i know but it doesn't give me the options to built the other tiers from the build menu - researched everything on level 1, just need to build the other benches

You don't.
The footprint for Science Bench level 2-6 is a different thing than the one for Science bench level 1.
you can upgrade the level 2 bench to 3 etcetera all the way to 6.

Did you reseearch stormhouse? you need it to unlock next bench. Note that first bench dont draw power but the rest above will and will also take more space than a shack. While you can buy a snail house to get more room faster, the research tree is still made to have you be able build a building big enought for next bench.

You need to Research Storm house that you find in Core technology, belie its called Small House and if you read the description it mention required for medium building shells and Tech Level 2 you need this to then be able to see the new research and that Tech Level 2 will unlock next lab bench your after.

You cant upgrade the level 1 science bench to level 2, you have to build a level 2 science bench, then you can upgrade that one all the way to level 6.

yes the other techs are under the research menu but will be hidden, try clicking with your cursor right under the TRAINING option
but you'll still have to do the according research for the higher tiers to pen up their options
