Moving buildings with the in game editor
There is a ramp in one of the towns that is too high, leading to an inaccessible wall for the towns defenders. I tried going into the shift+f12 editor to change its Y value so that it would align with the wall properly but it kept its original properties when i walked my units over it. No dice trying to 'fix stuff' I also got a notice that the item was governed by a .mod

Is this something you can change in the FCS?

What is the best way to proceed? I did not save my changes.

try use the F11 before using shift+F12 sometimes it snaps buildings right. when using F12 thers a fix building options, try that one also. if none of those work, could you provide screenshot?

also as a sidenote: if you move the buildings right after the "hitbox" is still in the same place. i often import after doing this but maybe a reload is enough..

After the steps i said above, and waiting about 30 mins, it looks like it works fine. So it looks like the reload is enough :)

That looks like Catun, think I had the same problem, will try look into it also.

I never had a Leviathan attack the town by itsel, happend mainly cause I took the harpoonturrets and shot them, almost killed all the city guards, woops.

Edit, nvm seems you found the solution while I was typing. Good job.

This will fix it:

1.- Shift + F11
2.- Click the building Defensive Wall or the Ramp
3.- Select "position" mode
4.- Make sure the Y number is the same in both. Keep an eye on the turrets!

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
I've tried editing my own settlement before and ran into this issue of the visual position not matching the physical, I wish I'd figured out sooner that it's simply fixed by reloading :lunar2019shockedpig:

In this case I was also trying to fix this stair in Catun; I actually deleted it an re-added it instead of trying to adjust the numbers, since this has the game automatically connect it to the wall in the correct position. Then a save and reload fixes actually being able to use it :47_thumb_up:

Glad you found a better solution! I forgot to update, but after moving it I still had some issues.

When you move things with the editor, you have to save and reload after moving them for it to become functional.
