Mining?
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to right-click on a stone/ore deposit, it won't let mine anything (I see the 'unable to interact' circle with a slash through it). I didn't think you needed a pick axe to do mining. First time playing, so I"m sure it's just a noob oversight. All of the Youtube viseos I've seen have just allowed folks to start mining right away. What am I missing?

Are you sure it's an actual ore deposit? If you don't see the mining pick symbol, you can't mine it.

Also you have a build a stone mine to mine stone.

Just in case you get to wondering...

You need to build someplace to store the stuff you mined if you want the character to automatically haul it somewhere. For Copper that's Copper Storage for Iron it's Storage: Ore.

No, I dunno why they borked up the naming conventions. :)

And, to build storage inside a town, you'll have to buy a building. (Click on the building's door and you'll see a price in the lower-lefthand corder description.

You can build one outside a city, but then NPCs and Factions will think you're trying to build a base and they'll start getting pretty aggressive about it...

Copper ore is much more valuable and lighter than Iron Ore. If you get a good copper operation going, you can amass a decent amount of money. You may as well also start making some Circuit Boards to get a character's Science skill up and make some extra cash, too.
