Did somebody build a base on fishman island?

yes, there will be spoilers in this post.

at first its kind of brutal, but if you kill all the fishman in the city they stop raiding you so frequently. its actually an amazing place to build if you have an experienced team of fighters. it rains non stop so you never have to water your crops, the ground is good for everything but cactus.

the only down side I've found, is if you don't kill all the fishman in the nearby city, you will get raided approximately every 2 minutes. by about 30 to 40 fishman. also there is a chance for acid rain, but its so quick by the time you run inside its already over.

It might get laggy like dealing with river raptors. A base in Fishman Island may not be enough for self sufficiency base or cactus/cotton cannot grow there. The closest for completed productive base is southeast of Bonefields on beach of lagoon by the borders of Royal Valley, Cheaters Run, and Fishman Island.

But hemp will, and that gives you fabric and income that you can buy food with.

Indeed, some players may prefer separate crops for specific things, like hemp to biofuel to power generator, cotton to fabrics.

Its too easy really since the only thing that ever attacks you there is the fishmen so once they are all gone nothing opposes you. I have never seen an event there of any kind. Not even a trader caravan visits me so the base seems a bit stale and boring. I need to be attacked from time to time to feel like i'm doing something.

I had completely forgotten about this island while scouting for a base all over Kenshi. Hopefully it has the necessary iron and copper deposits.
