for shirt slot: martial artist bindings or a shirt that does not hinder dodging

for chest slot: ninja rags or asassins rags

for pants: samurai cloth pants or something similar without any dodge debuffs

for shoes i use wooden sandals
thank you! I noticed there's some mods for training martial arts too

Hi. Dustcoat/Sleeveless Dustcoat/white Gi pants/armored rag skirt. Best mod for MA gear for me is External Muscle Suit. Good luck.

True martial artists fight naked. Clothes are for weaklings
got to lvl 6 martial artist relatively easy , i will keep training their kung fu :)

Hey, im pretty new but my main save file is using a duo martial artist squad (and thats it for fighters)

before i go into gear i 100% suggest you to get the mod that removed the jump back dodge animation its a must have or its really not viable as they will spam dodge animations 24-7 without ever punching back.

Head: currently unknown BOS but im using masked helmets - they dont give decreases or increases to stats but offer nice vitals protection

Armor: Assasins Rags, these are easy to craft yourself, not only that but i havent seen another set with better stat bonuses theyre very good im pretty sure maybe not the best in slot but pretty close

Legs: im debating between some masterwork (forgot the name but its the armored skirts bandits usually wear with the + MA) and samurai cloth pants - the samurai would be for the added coverage on the stomach. but for now im running the skirt on both my MA's

Shirt: so here im currently undecided, im running dark leather shirts atm but was thinking to move to chainmail for again the added prots/coverage (providing i dont see a negative to dodge or ma or something important like that)

Boots: for like 90% of the game i used sandals honestly just for the extra runspeed incase it was needed, however im switching to some masterwork leather drifters boots, again im not usre on BoS for this however i know anything heavy the negative stats are just to harsh imo

overall you want them to be light and nimble not slow and tanky, you want high dodge stats if possible and ofcourse high MA too. once you climb a decent bit in MA you unlock all the moves, so you can start to trade out your +MA stat gear for tankier stuff if needed, but unlocking all the usable moves should be the main priority while leveling for sure as the later moves are really strong.

btw with any of the suggestions for the GI sets or martial artist bindings, this is decent "starter" and i mean very early starter gear you can often buy it in the holy nations city by the hub i forgot its name, but the GI set and bindings literally give you ZERO stats other than + MA, at low levels even this is pretty useless, sure it will get you your next move a bit faster however your going to take a hard ass beating when you get hit.

honestly you can pick it up fast so its easy to get early on, same with the rag skirt thing thats super useful and worth only trading out for one of a higher grade

As already stated above;

Early on anything with a boost is beneficial, eg ninja coverup, ma binding, sandals, armoured rag skirt, allows one to actually get into the fight and start training, later on focus more on protection, looks or situational needs.

If going for limb replacement, then leave the desired locations exposed; Sleeveless, drifter, assassin or shirts etc 0-25% coverage.

If training up toughness, go with shoddy gear, or leave areas exposed. Embrace the pain and fight injured/splinted.

When things start to hit harder, swapping out torso for armoured rags makes a difference without the penalties usually associated with heavy armour. Assassins rags can leave one ko'd to easily when facing 100+ damage.

Headslots are good for environmental protection and aesthetics. Swamp or Fog mask, Iron hat etc.

Legs drifter, samurai or sneaky cargo are all decent options depends on rest of gear.

Crumblejon has some good cloths for martial arts and its pretty much free.
dust coats, bindings, sandals, any gear that is > 1.00 that buff attack speed dodge or damage. add crossbow skills- beast af.

when u have an adept MA you will giggle your shackled way to slaver camps

the path of the MA is epic

my advice is to unlock the animations the hard way and
dont see any spoilers from vid or MA mods that give MA moves to everyone or give them to you easy..
