Worlds End library?
I arrived and spoke to the two NPC's in the large tower. They each reference buying and selling things. They also mention looking for material in the library (the tower they're in.)

The tower has no vendors, or any thing in the research tables.

Am I missing something?

worlds end has the mechanists university. here you can't buy things but steal some AI Cores.

The "Great Library" is in Black Scratch with all (or most) blueprints in the game.

Interesting, I never found any AI cores to steal. The mechanist University had some lock boxes with nothing of note inside. They sleeping units also had nothing of note when stealth looted.

not sure as i've not done it in a while but it used to be (before the map was completed) that some of the only places with reliably spawning AI Cores was the university..

I actually ran into this myself. I couldn't find 1 AI core in the whole place. Even after a reload, and import.

maybe since we have the ashlands now they removed it so people actually have to go to dangerous areas instead of stealing from worlds end..

True. I've been playing this for a while now, and still haven't been down there. lol

I haven't been looking for Ai cores in a while, but I remember something like this as well, I think they were moved to the new lands for the most part.
OT, pity the university is a bit "forgotten", seems pretty useless to me as is...

Well I recruited a skeleton and send him to the scrapyard, the NPC sold 3 Ai's, 10 ancient books, and 3 engineering notes. To bad I couldn't find a Fogmask recipe, which is what im looking for.

A quick search says the Fog Mask blupe may be available at Cat-Lon's Exile, too. (You may be able to check by using the FCS to see where it's tagged to spawn.)

Given that the development of this game has been so long, there are all sorts of old posts out there that may no longer be correct. I read one that said the blueprint is available, but it won't appear in the crafting menu because the craftable tag was left off of the item for the list. Is this still true?

Mods can fix that, but it's kind of annoying - I don't remember if I already have learned the blueprint or not! :) Anyway to check for that?

I've been hunting the Fog Mask bp also, and recently got the conclusive answer via FCS.

The only vendor list that the Fog Mask BP appears on is "rare blueprints" which is assigned as a "SQUAD_TEMPLATE" to the Scraphouse and Cat Lon. Idk what a SQUAD_TEMPLATE is, I assume it effectively populates the vendor list for those respective locations, but is a more general way to stamp game entries with datasets.

Separately, the only vendor list that the Fog Mask item appears on is "shinobi gear" which I assume is the Shinobi vendor.

There are several characters that also can have a Fog Mask: Bounty Hunter, Ex-Servant, Shinobi Citizen and Shinobi Guard. If those are placed in the world or not, I don't know.

edit: also, the BP is the only non-100 (percent chance to spawn?) bp on the "rare blueprints" list. It's at 20.
