Kenshi

Tech hunters are amazing
World of Kensi is very depressing. Cannibals, slavers, zealots, ruthless bandits- everyone is out for your blood, everone is different form of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I never seen any display of kindess in this game.

I found a cool heavy blade and decided to train a my main character with it. I send him alone into the desert while the rest of the party sleeps in town. I overstimated both the weapon and his fighting skill- he got defeated by a single skimmer. I ordered one of my other characters to pick him up and return him to town, but before i reached him some random tech hunter walked to my unconscious character and healed him for free. Without even taking him into slavery. What? How is this even possible? I swear- i will never do any harm against tech hunters, be it assault or theft.

Yeah tech hunters are like a lawful neutral group. They don't enslave people. They just search the map for ruins and open stores. They have a really nice store in the deadlands that has advanced research material but you need to be a skeleton or have good acid protection to be able to go there without dying.

Tech Hunters also are a great place to fence off goods as they're like a swiss bank. They're true neutrals. Well. Besides being hired and loosely aligned with the UC, but at least their not ♥♥♥♥♥ about it.

I urge you to highly reconsider that latter claim however as Tech Hunter controlled regions have the highest amount of really good prosthetics you can steal at any given time.

Oh, Holy Nation can be very kind. They'll offer you food, assistance, and encouragement. They are very warm and welcoming.

As long as you aren't a skeleton. Or shek. Or hive. Or female. Or scorchlander.

But yeah, tech hunters are great. I like their mercenaries, too... they tend to have very diverse squads.

Yeah, just make sure you aren't caught stealing and the tech hunters won't even hate you.

This. I respect them from a lore / in-world sense for that reason as well. It really makes them live up to their namesake: these adaptive, survivalists who go ruin hunting. Who don't really care what race you are, just so long as you can be efficient at your job and survive the next expedition.

Nomads are also cool- they healed me for free too.

*knocks out tech hunter*
*takes his bionic leg*
*Watch him crawl*

I just stole all the prosthetics from the skeleton owned robotics shop in the wasteland. Now my character that normally runs 72mph is running at 21. This is going to be a long walk home, but my cyborg ninja squad needs their legs.

Where's the tech hunter controlled shop? I could use a few more strength boosting limbs...for reasons...

Scorchlanders are fine :nangry:
Why everyone thinks this claim?

Just be careful, in Shun Tech Hunter groups will attack you unprovoked for "playing Tech Hunter"

Biggest bros in Kenshi will always be the Shinobi Thieves.

🤔 are you sure they didn't catch you wearing gear looted from a tech hunter? Factions don't take kindly to you wearing their 'disguise', and guards in particular are quick to spot it.

And yeah, the shinobi thieves are alright. 10k is a steal for what they offer.

e: nevermind, tech hunter bands can turn hostile towards you in Shun as they might consider you as encroaching in their prime tech hunting grounds, but it depends on the personality of their group leader.

Well they're tolerated, but not fine. And based on some of the comments in game, only barely tolerated, much like females.
