What is everyone's favorite light armour for head gear

Just curious on what everyone liked to wear for head pieces when they wore light armour. I like the ninja mask and fog mask.

Dust coat, dark leather shirt/hive leather shirt, armored hood, wooden sandels, samurai clothpants. These light gears are good for travelling anywhere, even acid and burning, also no penalties. I put fog masks into backpacks for certain characters if they need to switch while travel thru gassy zones.

Crab helmet. Pretty much best head protection in the game, doesn't debuff anything except crossbows. Gives decent resist to dust, acid and burning. No reason* to use anything else tbh.

*Well, unless you use xbows, in which case congratulations - you've already won every engagement with enemies that move slower than you, i.e. all enemies that are not Beak Things.

Looks really good with Visored Helmet if you can find an NPC that will "Paint" it (Faction paint)

Uhh... why? Any gear that doesn't debuff stats is light gear to me. Unless one wants gear for pure appearance/roleplay reasons, then I'm partial to rattan hats.

I already know what the best helmets are,and it's easy to gear up with heavy gear because you only get so many choices, so the fact that light and medium can be mixed I wanted to stay on the lighter gear subject,and was curious on what others wear as far as light -medium armour :D

Iron Hat. I think it's not light headfear though since it's crafted in the heavy armour station but I feel like it should be in the light armor. Still a hat.

It is a great hat for a crossbower because 4 perception is a nice add on.

I find it particularly odd, in this world of Acid rain, and Death-beams, that there really are no "Hats" to protect you completely from either. Some only offer some protection...a straw hat...really? I guess, I'll just have to find or create a modded version as this really detracts from the immersion factor for me. I still don't understand why I need rain-gear in wet areas...Do you get waterlogged? I've yet to experience any negative effects of rain either...minus of course, acid rain.

Back on the subject...Masks, then goggles, if I cannot find/afford masks.
I've never had fog or gas effect any of my characters so far, with or without masks...but I've not ventured into the Ashlands or much of the deep south yet so...Maybe there is something there gas/fog wise that I've yet to encounter.

You can find some poison gas in the Black Desert area (not Deadlands, the Black Desert is a rather small area next to that), no need to go far south.

I try to give all my characters their own colour (hair, armour) and then go off facial hair or big hair (m/f) and pick gear that keeps this recognition easy.

Swamp mask; fog mask and mask 3 may have better stats but i like the visual on the portrait, (reminds me of snorkels), all leave the hair alone.

kasari (nope can't remember) but its the chain hood with side plates, although the straight chain hood and armoured rags torso has a nice visual for my ex-flotsam.

iron hat, especially for Shek, i like how their horns clip through it.

Plated face mask, if they have a distinctive hair style.

Type 3. All day. It’s the only mask that actually has any flavour. The Fog Mask has eyes that are spaced far too wide apart, and the Swamp Mask is an awkward mess. A nice basket hat is also great if you can get a full squad wearing them.

Thanks for the info, S44.Yuritch. I guess I've never discovered this because, I avoid that area like the plague...not because its scary, or dangerous, its just a nightmare to navigate. Much like getting to World's End. Ugg, I hate that trek.

For exclusively Light Armor, the Fogmask. It's too handy to ignore.
