Worker won't do his job - Output full
I have a worker set to work an Iron refinery III and he refuses to empty it, it just sits at 5 ore and 10 plates and he sits around 'aimless' or 'sitting around' yet when I manually make him go to it with right click he will empty it and proceed to fill it with ore until it's at 10 plates again, then he will go back to 'aimless' and 'sitting around'. The cycle keeps continuing no matter what I do, help!

I don't know that this will actually "work." :) But, considering the above, my reasoning is that maybe the character lost a reference for a stockpile and is getting hung up on that. In any event, it can't hurt, right? :)

For instance, have you ever Imported your game and did any of those stockpiles exist in the previous game?

Interaction Objects (lootabl/workable containers) seem to get a separate reference that's internal. Mining Nodes surely work this way. For Mining Nodes, since they're a Line Item Job and their description is there, they will be listed without their previously assigned number and anyone tasked with working them will be "Aimless." At least, that's how it appears in regards to character Ai behavior. Those internal refs get changed/lost during an Import. When a chunk loads, like on a first-load after an Import, those refs get reassigned or regenerated.

I have experienced characters going "Aimless" when they have the same Job tasks they had before, always when they're required to interact/work/store with an object. It most often happens when the PoV from which I last saved the game is outside the chunk that particular object is located within. If, for instance, I'm staring directly at a character who is actively mining a node when I save the game, on Import that character will usually not have any issues picking right back up and continuing to mine that node. Other nodes outside of the loaded region, however, will get reassigned and their miners will go Aimless. (Usually. It's not exactly consistent.)

IF the above is "true" and reassigning everyone from scratch works, then after your next Import you will see the same Aimless behavior happen when that Character hunts through its "saved" list of interaction objects it's supposed to be working with and comes across one that has the old internal reference and can't find it in the new game environment. So, you'll have to reassign them again after each Import. IF what I'm describing is actually true and that's the case here, that is. :)

Yeah there are about 20 of them around the base, like next to the weapon crafter and stuff.

ctrl shift f11 something path finding need a up date or you need move because it to close something or unfriendly placed.

If your storage are full or don't have them it not surprising. Try assigning him to the storage

It's happening with my auto loom too which has about 15 fabric chests in the same building, my worker will keep filling it up into it has 10 fabric and then will stop working and idle, yet if I choose her and right click the loom she will empty it and the process repeats.

CTRL SHIFT F11 doesn't do anything for me.

I'm actually ashamed that I didn't think to clear and reque their jobs, it worked like a charm on the metal worker but not on the cotton worker, turns out she was getting stuck on the corner of a storage box right next to the loom and going aimless, once removed she went back to work.

Thanks!
