Crab Raider Oddities
Not sure if this is an oversight but stealing from the crabbers has no negative effect against me? Even picking their locks in front of them doesn't grant me the committing crime 3 second timer.

Also very odd but why do these guys attack me at all? They seem friendly enough to talk to in their villages and town but out in the wild they down me and leave me to die for no reason. They don't even have dialogue to justify it like the reavers or lesser bandits do. Starting to hate them may annihilate their crabs.

Seriously I was in one of their villages and a patrol passed by aggrod the whole village against me.

Crab people are weird, but they make good allies. You might just want to go ally yourself with their queen, unless you wanted to ally with the Reavers or something. That'll take care of the patrols attacking you. While you're there, you can pick up the unique recruit Lumi. She has the ability to automatically enlist Crab Raider patrols you encounter in the wild into short-term mercenary contracts for you.

I'm not sure actually, I've never tried. I know you can join the Skeleton Bandits and Skin Bandits under the right circumstances, which are the other factions the Crab Raiders are hostile towards. I just figured the Reavers would be the same way. I should have left the Reavers as the 'or something' and just mentioned the other two.

You have to talk with Valamon at Ark. IIRC you can't be allied with the Skeleton Bandits, Skin Bandits, or the Crab Raiders.

You can ally with skeleton bandits and skin bandits but you need to have the right race when you talk to their leader.

In order to ally with crab raiders you just have to win the crab tournament, it's a crab tonne of fun too ;)

Damn...they are hostile to me ATM( I defended myself) so entering ark turned the base against me. 30 bodies later and i barely escaped. I can't seem to increase relations just by healing

I've yet to meet skins

You don't want to meet the Skin Bandits unless you are super prepared. And especially make sure you avoid their main base, it's just waves upon waves of skeletons that will drag away any downed party members to their doom.

I went into their base with a very capable and pretty well equiped group of 30 and only about 4 of them escaped with their lives. :/

Go say hello to their Queen in Crab Town. Be respectful and she will return the favour!

Crab Raiders are one of the nicest factions once you befriend them. Outside of an alliance, they are still raiders and might attack you out of the blue. They like fights and tests of strength. They even have Crab Tournaments that they will hold in front of your settlements now and then (never had one myself). They randomly join you up to help you if you are out and about. They sell you crabs. They have very nice heavy armour for strength training (not worth much else, though). They certainly are the best choice of allies when you consider the local alternatives.

Skeleton Bandits are delusional idiots (They aren't actually skeletons) who think that because "they are made of metal and a thousand year old", they should attack any other old meat bag.

Reavers like to sound high and mighty when they speak out against the oppressors of the wasteland, but they perpetuate slavery and force anybody captured to fight for their agenda.

The Skin Bandits... Don't get me started on the Skin Bandits. They should have a sit down and heart to heart with the Skeleton Bandits. Their leader is tragic, but deserves the peeler.
