Which storage container has the largest space for non-stacking items (incl. in furniture mods)?

Anyone know what's ideal? I'm collecting books and have no idea which storage is actually going to fit all of them.

As far as I know, the largest containers in the vanilla game are General Storage Boxes and General Storage Chests. Or you could use your Research Bench. All are 18x18, though take differing amounts of floorspace to build. For best efficiency, the Chest takes the least amount of room, following by Boxes, then Bench.

If you want more storage, there are mods that expand the internal storage capacity and also mods to make non-stackable items stack.

Ahh ok, that was going to be my guess for vanilla storage. I really wish I could find a mod for bookcases or something, because I don't know how different lore books would stack.
