How do you take bounties sitting in a bar without the guards getting you?
I found several 10k+ counties just sitting in a bar in a town theyre not wanted in. But they never move, so how do you turn them in without the guards killing you or getting a bounty yourself?

Be sneaky and assassinate them :)

You don't get in trouble for attacking someone with a bounty though. But easiest way is just sneak and bonk them out, you won't get in trouble for picking them up.

Well he wasnt hostile so I had to attack unprovoked and that triggered the guards.

In stealth mode, the cursor will display a red hand with the percentage chance to knock out who ever your hovering it over, no matter if they are hostile or not.

It might be because the bounty was for a different faction. Not sure.

That's interesting. Even the in game tool tip states that you can attack a person with a bounty with zero intervention from any kind of guards.

1 way I have dealt with such bounties. Pay some guys in the bar to get in trouble with/ for you.

Knock the target out & run while your thugs murder & attract attention from guards.

Hide for a good 20 seconds (just long enough for the crime warning to ware off) then resume life. Maybe stop by after the thugs either win or lose & loot them or whoever they killed aswell.

A simple trick to profit :D!

How do you pay thugs to fight for you?

Mercs, Tech Hunters & Thugs can all be hired at bars, just pay the 1 day bodyguard fee of 2k. You still get 8k out the bounty & any left over loot from all the fun fun chaos this would cause!

You can within the realms of common sense. You attack someone with a bounty in the middle of their faction area or near faction allies then members of that faction/their allies will defend them.

Ideally, you want to knock them out and carry them off. Practically, you're probably going to end up knee deep in blood and bodies.

Do you lose rep from the faction you are turning the bounty from?

So let's say a Tech Hunter is wanted by Shek. Do I lose rep by Tech Hunter for knocking and turning in the said Tech Hunter's bounty?

If they got a bounty but are not wanted in that town, you can't openly attack them. You have to either be sneaky, assassinate them, kidnap them out, or wait for them to get out of town. Nothing to do about it. You can't expect guards of the UC for example to take kindly to you assaulting someone with holy nation bounty, but no UC bounty, it wouldn't make any sense, especially since the 2 factions are actively at war, paladins attacking Drin get assault bounties all the time, you can bet your arse that if those paladins somehow escaped and went into holy nation land, if you attacked them their fams would cap you real fast, instead of turning a blind eye because of an irrelevant bounty.

You take a big hit of rep if you're the one to initiate combat, along with slight rep penalties when you deal damage to them, that you could mitigate by then bandaging that victim. You also get a rep hit if you directly put them in cages, police or player owned doesn't matter. If you assassinate them and turn in to the police chief/hundred guardian you don't get penalty hit.

Frigging manhunters hate me for picking off their survivors as they got up after attacking me to enslave me constantly.
