Ancient books at World's End?

I read somewhere that there were Ancient Books at World's End, I went there expecting a merchant selling like 10, like the Merchant in Flat Lagoons does. But when I arrived there is only one small Bar that sells like 2 but that's it... Is that normal? Lorewise it would make more sense to find research books in World's End than in Flats lagoon isn't it?

The mechanical shop has a few. I don’t recall the bars having any. Not the best place to get them. Still better off just looting the labs.

World's End used to have the same selection as Flats Lagoon, not long ago.

I guess from a lore perspective, Flats Lagoon is closer to more tech ruins and both cities are run by Tech Hunters. Maybe.

for me there was literally 0 ancient science books and I was only able to find and steal a single one at the university

I don't think World's End spawns Engineering Research either.

Isnt there a mod, Workshop mod that adds these Ancient books and the Engineering research along with AI cores to some Vendors in Kenshi,,

Just started playing again and have unsubed to all then resubbed to a handful of mods and I would swear i was using one But cant seem to see it in my Fav list

.. Come to think of it, I think there was a couple I was using .. damn it, now I need to recheck my Favs and see if I can refind them lol

I think lore wise it wouldn't make sense for them to want to sell the ancient books in Worlds End as per the head researcher guy who belittles you for asking where to find them, something along the lines of "Why would I tell some schmo off the street where to find what *WE* want for ourselves". Flats Lagoon on the other hand I've always taken as oh we have all these relics random adventurers wanted to get off their hands for cats, you want em?

Tech Shops and Mechanical Shops have random chances to have ancient books, someone likely got some good RNG and started raving about it.

In my experience your best spots for buying research materials are Flats Lagoon, Black Scratch (Great Library), and Black Desert City (scraphouse)
