no power in my outpost
or rather, some power. I made a base on the border between the swamp and the spider plains so I can have access to two different biomes simultaneously. I put in power via wind turbines. I have over 200 power during wind.

My stone refinery has pwoer, my iron refinery does not, they are pretty wells away from each other but both still inside my outpost. I built a wind turbine literally BY the iron refinery.

Still no power. WTF. if my base can't have reliable power my base is useless and I wasted my time building there.

WHAT DO I DO.

Your base has a radius based on building location and size. It may be possible that the building is outside that radius. I had a similar problem once with placing my wind turbines outside that radius. You can check it by using shift+f12. There will be a ghostly statue marking the “center” of your outpost, and a light blue radius showing its borders. It is movable, I think. But I also am not sure about the consequences of doing so.

Without using the editors, you can try building some more buildings out towards the iron refinery to see if you can naturally expand your borders to reach it.

Good info, didn't know the radius thing. Still didn't help though.

The iron refinery is well within the radius and still without power despite my wind turbines producing over 100 bonus power, getting tempted to just give up on base management altogether.

Ok. It’s a manual refinery, right? Have you assigned someone to use it? If it isn’t active, it won’t draw power.

Also check to make sure that there is a white dot next to the power buttons on the bottom of the lower left corner when you have the refinery selected. You may have accidentally turned it off.

it's a level 3 refinery, it's not manual, also I hit the power button multiple times to reset it as well as having someone assigned to it.

Still no power.

Does it have raw iron in it? Is the output full? You’ll still need someone to load it up with iron for it to process and clear out the plates when it is full.

Sorry but that is all the possible snags I could think of.

As person above stated, it might be full or lack raw iron and I recommend assigning a worker with plenty of storage for iron plates.
hope you found the issue becous building a base is the most fun part in my opinion. :steamhappy:

I gave up, scrapped the refinery completely and rebuilt it somewhere else from all new parts JUST to be sure.

Doing that fixed the problem.

Using the "Import" on the main menu to import your save game will solve this
