Anti slavers & Rebel farmer
Wipe them out and the only thing I see happen is Rebel farmers become uncommon.

Please someone tell me taking down the legendary Tinfist does something of substance. I hear people talk about no more starving and UC getting rich but it's not like food is cheaper or vendors have more cash and/or items of quality.

2 Hives in the north get destroyed by slavers. So 4 less neutral vendors in the north. Not a thrilling outcome.

And I mean world effects, things that change the feel of UC. Being called a hero is nice I guess.

Yep, after I captured Tinfist, slave traders took over northern hives, preacher cultists, and I think deadcat villages too. After imported with reset dead NPC, they're all back. Right now, I'm trying to improve relationship with anti-slavers, I might have to import with reset repuation next time if healing as much of anti-slavers doesn't work. I've been bringing gorrillos, including great white and king black gorrillos to spring for healing anti-slavers, I believe there's a boost to repuation after healing Tinfist.

There seems to be no big payoff for taking down a legend. Seems half assed.

I could ally with the rebel farmers and turn in bounties to ally with UC, buy slave to ally with slavers. That is far easier and safer too...

UC greatly increases in strength in ways you can't see and doesn't and will never effect you in a meanful way and even hurts you killing Hive towns. That is not good design.

edit:

By safer I mean avoiding getting headshot for 240 damage by tinfist.

Okay, seems wiping them out is pointless as the dev didn't bother making them cause meaningful world effects.
