How to Repair a destroyed building

I recently bought a destroyed hous in squin for 7200c and I cant find out how to construct it in the build menu or anything, I bought construction tools and all. I put down a research station but cant build the house itself. Please help

IIRC all you have to do is point at the building with your mouse and hold down right click.

Need building materials which you will have to buy unless you have a stone mine and processor set up somewhere.

After buying the house, right-click and hold, and select 'Repair' from the window that opens. Once that's done the building should have a wire mesh, and show how many Building Supplies you need to fix it. While having a character carrying Building Supplies selected, right-click and hold again on the building and select 'Build'. The character will add the building supplies and should start to repair. If not, just right-click on the building with any/all of your characters.

Is there intent to later make it so NPC towns repair their buildings? It's weird seeing guards and torn down hovels. I'm glad to have cheaper housing prices but come on dudes. Fix your stuff.

Eh that's something that has been asked "a couple of times" during the past few years, but it ain't happening.

It's either you fixing the buildings (and you can do so only in towns that are not abandoned/ruins) or no one.

The world of Kenshi is in ruin, crumbling, like its buildings, after every extinction the technology becomes worse and worse... Probably it's just its people who doesn't care...

Trying to give a RP explanation btw. :P

The world of kenshi is in constant conflict. War and poverty are everywhere. I don’t know why that is something that seems out of place to you.


“Why don’t they fix it?” I feel the same way about certain sections of the the city I live in irl. And there hasn’t been a battle here since the American civil war.
