recommened outpost locations?
i'm to lazy to find good spots for myself and if i find any, I get my ass kicked over and over again.
but the border zone is just to easy and all the other locations just seems so hostile

Between Squin and Admag is a great spot that has access to all raw resources, good water and is surrounded by towns to trade with.

North east of Squin up on the hill above the road is also a great location for the same reasons.

Holy Nation territory is great if you can stay within their tight ruleset, anywhere really.

East of Drifter's Last / way south of clownsteady / south of the waystation between them over by the shore is a nice piece of flat terrain right next to the sea.

Way south west, right by the post ancient ruins is a nice bit of flat land that's unclaimed, but you'll need hydroponics to really prosper there.

Shrieking Bandit territory has a couple of spots that has all raw resources and can be farmed, bonus for constant shrieking bandits that you can train on.

There's also the sandy area east of the Swamp (it's mostly into the beta limitation but you can still build there) which is neat but a little bit limited in space and nightmarish if you don't like flat terrain.

Cannibal territory and Leviathan Coast in the very north are surprisingly easy to settle in if you find a location with raw resources next to each other.

A great side bonus of being set up near leviathans is that you can use them as guard dogs during raids, have a person bait the raid toward a leviathan and it will attack the enemies, the reason for this is that leviathans don't like groups of people, so if you send a lone character to bait their group, it'll indirectly protect you, just make sure your other characters don't join in as a group.

I've done Northern coast before, there was an endless stream of cannibals, but once I got a couple turrets up I had no issues

As a bonus they took all the dying people away so I didnt have to clean up nearly as much :)
