think about it: how long do you need to craft/farm to get 100k.. now try stealing 100k: easy..
Hope this helps.
The moment you get skilled at crafting you can AFK and come back rich. Leveling armorsmithing is cake.
Hell everything makes money easy. Hire mercs for 2k (basically nothing), wipe out beak things, stack many eggs in a merchants backback = stupid profit.
At least stealing has risk.
Yep... It's massively OP when you only need about 25-30 theivery to have an almost guaranteed 100% chance to steal from most stores, and you're stealing weapons easily worth 2k-5k each...
Even after the reduced resale value of a stolen item, you're easily making tens of thousands of cats...
Though you're correct that you can pretty much AFK and come back rich, you have to take the time to actually establish the "supply chain" needed to get your crafting up to that level, and then continue to feed your production, not to mention have the available storage to keep churning them out... And this doesn't even consider having to periodically defend your base from raids...
Where as stealing allows you to easily, and reguarly make 10's of thousands of cats by simply running back and forth between different faction towns...
Stealing also has the added benefit to quickly gearing up your party with the best items... Items that need tech level unlocks (mail and plate) in order to actually use the recipe's you've (I presume) been buying to manufacture...
also i don't like going afk for a long time because my recruits tend to wander off chasing enemies..
Money means NOTHING. You buy a few things, and you sell a few things, money accumulates. That's it, but it's not really useful after a short while anyway.
You can't buy training to buff your characters, only time and fighting does that. Money is an illusion and one that's way overhyped.
This
remember how old the ogre 2.0 engine is and how much they have added on top..
sure would i love to see reactive economics but sadly i think that will be for kenshi 2 (if ever)
Oh, I dunno... When you have 600k and get to Scraptown, money's by no means an illusion...
You mean Black Desert City? Or is there a legit Scraptown somewhere that I've missed?
