According to the link above, the UC and Slave Traders consider the Manhunters as a neutral faction (see under Details - Relations).
You might think of Manhunters similar to Dust Bandits in terms of an enemy faction stronger than the low tier enemies like Hungry Bandits or Slave Hunters.
That sounds like a problem that can be solved by violence. Good, clean, honest violence.
I suspect that if they are a neutral faction, that you can sell the survivors as slaves. I may try this out later.
