Ways to lose limbs?

Are there any meta methods to losing some limbs w/o your chars getting beheaded or impailed up the butt and through a nostrile? It's just that I'd like to rig up some of my dudes with specific bionics, like the Thieves and Steady arm. I'd also like to rig some people up for RP reasons :). Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the foglands, start to be eaten alive, escape, equip your limbs instantly and book it.

Go to the great desert, wear crap armor or none, attack a skimmer. easy limb loss, just make sure you've a buddy to heal or pick them up.

I'm fond of equipping the holy chest plate, no pants, no boots, the most protective helm I can get, and whatever shirt I can find that protects the chest and stomach, but not the arms, then going nuts in fights

It is for this very reason that I dedicate some time to stealing the holy chest right off the phoenix as he sleeps, once I'm ready to do so

Just found this BEAUTIFUL little torture implement in the FCS. Shift + F12 and go into the lab section of the buildings. It's called a Peeler Machine. It's essentially a robotic torture prisoner cage that does a sh*tload of damage to ALL limbs, then the rest of the body, while producing animal leather and an ample amount of screams before the subject finally expires. I found it WAY better than going all the way to the fogmen and getting gang ate, the only problem with the Peeler is that it will deal the exact same amount of damage to every limb at the same time, so if you want a particular limb removed and not all 4? Gonna have to go tempt that RNG and get your chosen limb banged up a bit by some random fight before putting yourself in the Peeler, while paying close attention and pulling your char out of the machine before the rest of your limbs quickly reach <100. I tested it on Crumblejon, he didn't need those old ♥♥♥ limbs anyway, and is just so much better with those metal claws everywhere.

You can mod a starting character with injured limbs.

Getting the crap knocked out of you is better tho, you get stronger. Modding in with limb losses is a bit pointless, you can't give yourself robotic limbs.
