Kenshi
Become millionare by luring bandits to towns and Innkeepers at Squin plays with the door
First of I wanna say that I feel it kinda broken that you are able to lure or just camp out at some towns, waiting for bandits to show up and get killed by guards. I've been camping for 5 whole days at Squin, because it was the most profitable.
I've had one time where a bandit camp spawned right next to the town. They got killed obviously. But the point is that I was able to earn a little over 10k I think(I don't remember).
At this point, I left the town because it got kinda boring. I left with about 40k of cats.

Suggestion: Maybe make the guards give the leftover gear to the shopkeepers after battle, or dispose of the corpses?

The other problem I've had, is that the two innkeepers at Squin(I've experienced this with 3 playthroughs) constantly opens and closes the door. It's probably something with their mechanic. Because when I open the door or closes it for the first time, the inn- guard and keeper, rushes towards the door to close or open it again. And then they just continues with that. Like for all eternity, or until you kill them.

What's wrong? I just made a statement. You don't have to ♥♥♥♥ on me.

Were not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on you. We are just saying with a sandbox game sometimes you just have to show some self restraint and avoid things you know that is cheesy. You have to realize that with a single player game you do not need to adhere to the multiplayer balancing as much. So the posts of "nerf this and nerf that" are kinda frowned upon unless it is something completely out of hand like theivery was.

There was a guy liek six months ago that screamed and ranted about how overpowered it was to be able to leave his squad at Rebirth and gain skill for "free." It was a huge arguement about how it was wasted time because he could have made actual money elsewhere.

It hs always been that way, and used to be even more cheesy. Like Stu said theivery is really cheesy even after the huge nerf it got.

There is also a few ruins in the game like the one near the waystation/shek town southwest of The Hub. You can make well over 100k cleaning that out or keep the gear that spawns. All you have to do is avoid the dogs and spiders, lol. There is MANY easy places to loot once you find them and know about them.

I get it though you are "new" to the game and and do not realize how little 40k cats really is. Not a big deal you just havent been out to explore or buitl up your own base. To see how little that 40k is. Give it a month or two of playing and you will look back and laugh at what you thought was unbalanced.

My point was just to make the game more immersive. I feel like guards and police would get rid of corpses, and set bandit bosses and some minors in jail, because some jails are completely empty. Even after 40 hours of playing, I visited Squin again. No body in jail.

This is because when you leave a "landblock" it goes inactive. If you were to remain in that landblock eventually they would catch some criminals and such and put them in there.

I think there was corpse disposals in town at one point. I think Blister Hill had one. I dont think they were jsut ever manned and used, or it got broken?

I also have to say, that the bandits loot ain't crap. bosses run around with standard gear, and at some points high grade gear. But of course, compared to your own gear, it's usually crap. But for selling, it's like 1,200 for each dust bandit's gear.

Most bosses usually have 2-3 blue quality items. The normal bandits have a chance to have blue items as well.

Oops, sorry about leaving it in general discussions. I didn't notice the bugs tab and the balance tab. :sadcthulhu:

There is a lot of ways to make a lot of money with little issues whatsoever, like stealing or mining, even making armor is a little op.

Bandits don't have that much expensive equipment from what I have seen, around Squin there is mostly hungry bandits, dust bandits and from time to time the band of bones guys, neither of them really have something that make it worth it to farm. In the other side of the coin, stealing can make you easly 50k or more in just one store and if you mine copper of 100% quality with two people you can easly make 10k-20k per day.

So from my point of view, there isn't a need for nerfing the little drop that bandits left when they fight the guards of the citys.

That really sound like a bug, try importing your save again and see if it's still happen.

and 40k is not much in the world of kenshi, well that's just my opinion. In order to build things, or making a decent base, that much money is not enough.

Here we go again. People like netting everything. The little you make doing that keeps you alive until you can fight better opponents and get better loot.

It's a bug. I already reported it in the bug section.

I'd definitely like to see NPCs loot, and bandits be a little more intelligent about avoiding town assaults, waiting on the outskirts instead to ambush unwary travelers, while city patrols try to hunt them out. So you still get some epic NPC v NPC battles, but not so many suicide runs against massive walled cities.

It ain't that immersive when a crippled bandit shouts "You again? This time I'll kick your ass!" *Nakedly crawls slowly towards the player with a huge plank and two dogs at their side*
So yeah. Definitely something to change there lol

I love it when I have 8 guys, each of whom is a master of combat and death dealing and they get attacked by a group of bandits and proceed to slice off arms and legs and leave the bandits in a pool of blood and gore - then a few moments later one of the bandits gets up and rushes back in to attack ... alone.

I've noticed that sometimes NPCs run for their lives, but it doesn't happen enough. They need to flee more often when getting destroyed.

Heh, you people shoulda been here for Alpha phase. It was like ten times more often to the point the bandits would kill the guards and shopkeepers.

Even during Beta phase the hive villages would be empty because the beak things ate everyone. Eventually the guards got a buff and this happened.

Ya know you just dont see that anymore, in like any game. I think it was one of them things where people whined about chasing or losing out on loot or xp and it just went away.

Hell I would love it if the run over the dune or ridge and grabbed another group of bandits to come help, lol.

I had a similar thought playing battletech last nihgt. Here it is my 4 mechs beat the eight mechs guarding you, and you got like no arms, run or eject or something, lol.

you can get a few standard pieces of armour for that money - which helps but its a drop in the ocean, really.

the game's setup to allow you to make money in various ways and it lets you play in various ways to attain it

if you wanna play that way then do it, and it gets boring as you see, so then you do something else. It's not a massive money maker.

There really aren't enough enemies for this to be the billionaire scheme you think it is.

I make weapons and drugs and I get 30k + a run and that goes fast.

I've had 100k+ and it goes away.

Dude, that's chump money, I've made 600k in only 7 days selling Edge type 3 weapons, Masterwork armor, and grog. Gear is ♥♥♥♥ money.
Percavil Apr 27, 2018 @ 5:22pm
I left with about 40k of cats.... then i became a millionaire.
