Fixing up town houses?

Were the mechanics for this changed or is it just currently not working in experimental?

Works fine for me. Buy a house in rubble, hold right click on it to open the extra context menu, pick repair, the house rubble vanishes and you get a buildable house, then you just do it like any other building outside the city.

Ahh that's the step i'm missing, I just bought it and thought that clicking on it would start building, only did it once before, ty

I think it used to automatically revert to a buildable house when you bought it

I played for a few hours when I bought in early 2014, I just wanted to see where the game had gotten to now that it's close to release and it was so much fun I lost myself for the entire day in it.

Don't feel bad, I played this game for years before figuring out you could disassemble, pick up, and reuse sleeping bags.

I used to leave camp sites all over the world... :P
