This acid rain is going on.
So I'm just gonna chill in the discussions until it stops.

I was just wandering and wound up near Okran's Shield with some... "less than desirables" according to them soo I now need to find a way around, I ventured into the Iron valleys and have just met my first encounter of acid rain. I built me a little camp to stay out of the rain, but it's been going for 3 days straight right now.

I'm trying to path out how to get around to take my first trip into the great desert, but this rain has other ideas. These robot spiders and black desert ninjas are getting too nosy though, which sucks cuz I can't retreat to anywhere more safe unless I want to tank the rain, which not being in proper gear, means I have to sit here and hope to outlive the assualts while it rains.

Pretty sure the acid rain there never stops, best bet is to go through the valleys north towards worlds end, or keep building camps every so often and heal up, with lookouts for mech spiders roaming

Well that would explain it.. I guess I could try and push through. The Holy Nation is kinda keeping me from turning back with all the patrols demanding I give them my non humans or die.

If you can find an iron hat or straw hat, that can help reduce the damage significantly. I started at the waystation just north of the black square and fastest way was through it to get to the waystation I wanted to be at. Most of my people started to fall right near the other edge, but my medic had a straw hat she got off some random dying merchant and my soldier was able to endure quite a bit more. We also had hired a hive drone who was immune to the rain, so between him and my medic, they were able to go back and pull out all the others. So depending on the size of your group, the area you are in (sorry, unfamiliar with that actual area of the map) looks much shorter than the run I took, so if standing still is doing more harm than good, perhaps it might be better to just charge through. Highly recommend hitting up a town to heal immediately though.

If your going to hang around in that area, try and get yourself an Ashland hat and a Dustcoat, you'll have yourself 130% protection from acid rain.

Think Skeletons are immune too, never knew the hive were. I got my ninja guy to run through with a straw hat, was at 40 when he came out the other side.. then had to run from the HN since I am at war with them

Wait till they are in a fight and run past. There is always something near Okran's Shield that starts a fight with them, Ninjas/Skimmers/Skeletons (bad and good)/Spiders.

Longcoat helps alot with acid, Ratton they all stack just make stack 100% Your Immune to rain.
I believe Hiver and sketon are immune.
Long coat found in the swamps.

Even with 0% protection you can be ok in the acid rain areas as long as everyone has shoes and you avoid swimming. Pack a cloth for a tent and enough bedrolls for everyone, if your health starts getting low set up a tent with bedrolls and rest until healed, then embark again.

Not exactly sensible roleplaying ("Aaah it's acid rain it hurts so much... ok lets rest a bit and keep going... AAAAH ACID RAIN") but it works. I've even sent brand new characters into the deadlands to loot the place as a way to jumpstart my wealth and research artifacts. Even without the bedroll, you can just make frequent stops at black desert city to rest up. They may not have food, but they have beds.

There's a small passage through the mountains just north of Okran's Shield that's usually not patrolled. There might be some skimmers there though.

I made it through Iron Valley. Sprinted right through and had to fend off some skrimmers though.

Acid rain doesn't bother me. My dudes heal too fast for it. High toughness fixes everything lol. Never go swimming in acid though, that stuff hurts.

I had the same problem but I found that There's a path through those mountains bordering okrans shield that leads straight into the desert, that path begins a little west of the shield ( its very close to the shield so be careful of patrols)

The one accross the decrepit bridges? That's the path I took around.
