How to change sex?

Is there a way to change the sex of an existing charachter? I mean also the face and in a way that also a noob like me can achieve?
There is a way, but honestly it is far beyond my skills.
I'd just like to play as a chick because girls in this game are really badass:-)

Just start over. Or recruit a female character and take her to the plastic surgeon, which lets you rename them as well as customize their appeareance. There is nothing special about your starting character.

You can also use the editor. Essentially make a new save with the new character you want. Then make a save on your other playthrough, with the character you want to edit alone in a squad (no gear if you do'nt want to edit that).
Been a while, but then I think you switch the files for said squad outside the game, then edit the save to put the corresponding stats on the new character (like your "old" char had 10 str, then you edit the new one for the same value). Obviously, make backup before, and note all the stats your char had. Also, on your own risk and all that stuff.

I did it myself to change my character race, so it totally works.

I will give it a go tomorrow, hopefully it is one of those cases where things seem more comlicated that they actually are:-)

You essentially replace your "old" character with a new one from the save file. It might make it easier to understand :) Obviously, edit the new one to have the stats from the old, so you don't have a complete noob with 1 everywhere.

What I did was slightly different, I recruited a female NPC, edited her, dismissed the male charachter and imported,worked like a charm:-)

how do i do the changing files i dont know under what files to change the stuff
