Cant Store food

built a food storage inside a little shack yet cant put bread inside of it. it just says invalid container type. does anyone know what im doing wrong?

bread has a special container because it's used as an ingredient in some other foods.
it's a massive pain but you don't get to store bread until you've researched how to make it.

Yeah, weirdly, you can't eat just bread - it doesn't count as food until you mix it with other ingredients. To store bread, you need to build a bread basket.

Umm... not true. In my game my characters constantly raid the BREAD storage and eat all the loaves which I am specifically saving to turn into more complex food! This is despite there being a food barrel available which contains far more nutritious food than bread. Very annoying.

The only workaround I've found is to store my bread in a shop counter, which characters will not touch.

If this is the case, I stand corrected. No-one in my game would ever eat bread, or not that I've noticed. I'll take another look!

I put my food storage by the door and the bread basket at the back of the building which seems to stop unwanted bread eating.
