King Gorillo

By Okran's beard! I pootled out on a trade run with six soldiers and three pack animals to do the rounds to sell some copper - made about 40k. At the last drop, I looked at the map, and thought 'You know what - screw it'; the base was ticking over, so I went on a grand tour.

Just got home, a little worse for wear (understatement), but all in one piece. 45 (yes, you read that right) advanced science books in the bag from one sortie, numerous Meitou weapons, and various pots, pans, and other bits of cr@p I need to sell and stow.

But, bloody hell, I can't remember exactly where it was - somewhere mid-south-east I think, near a lake - a King Gorillo acting as a static guard at some partially submerged tower. The stats on that thing are off the scope. 99 everything. I sneaked someone past to loot the tower, then realised that everyone could sneak past. From the safety of the tower, across a shallow stretch of water, I cheesed it to death with two crossbow guys, but man, it took four clips. Granted, it stood there beating its chest like a champ, but I'm guessing even one hit from that thing, and all four limbs would come off like wet toilet paper. Weird thing is, the loot wasn't even that good - not nearly as good as The Tower of Abuse, which was a tough fight in the same sortie, I'll concede.

Do these King Gorillo things exist in other parts of the map? If so, that would be disconcerting...

That ruin where king black gorrillo sits on top has few weapons laying on ground but ancient ruin next to that ruin should have better loots but all loots at ancient ruins spawn random at every imports. If either you don't see that gorrillo on top of ruin or its sitting at bottom, press shift F12 to fix stuff, that would bring it up to top of that ruin.

There's another unique gorrillo, called great white gorrillo in Mourn. Capture both to bring home for training, rise your characters' stats faster.

Ah! Thanks. Too late for Rex now - he's sleeping with the fishes, but on your advice, I'll revisit the area and see if I can find the great white.
