greenlanders are basically the "default" option, as such they're boring. scorchlanders aren't a boring "no weaknesses" race and as such are far superior.

It depends if you want dex,athletics and stealth Greenies aint got ♥♥♥♥ on the Scorched. Personally I like the Scorch better for their unique stat gains. Though greenies are more rounded. Honestly it doesnt matter you could theoretically master every skill with any race it is just a matter of surviving long enough to do it.

The white race I believe is superior by far as those schorchies only sneak around so if you want to be a hard working honest person you play the white man and if your a bad person you play the black "cough cough" I am schorched

They're not really similar, though...

Scorchlanders for Smithing tasks and being a "Thief" type. Greenlander for Growing and Research sorts of things.

Either are decent enough fighters that it's not worth worrying about the differences.

I don't have an inherent bias for/against either.

I usually either start with a Greenlander or look to pick a couple of them up right away when I start a new game. My ultimate goal is usually getting a small settlement up; so I'll need some people actually quick to get good at Farming/Mining. Then in the short term one of the easiest/safest/boring ways to make money is mining Copper and selling it. Really makes a difference by having Greenlanders mining, instead of 5+ in game days to get ~5k you are looking at ~2-3.

Though I find it weird Scorchlanders don't have a bonus to Crossbow Smithing, IMO they should. What with the whole "we are the sneaky ninja smith race!" themed traits.

My scorchs focus on crafting weapons and gears, my greens to focus on farming. So in early game, good idea to get scorchs first to start curing leathers to raise armor skills in npc towns then craft better gears than you could find at shops. Farming usually come later after player's outpost is built. With 6 scorchs on plate beating stations making armor plates in Heng can make you richer everyday easy while your other characters go mine iron ores.

Note that if you import a scorchlander morphotype on a greenlander female, you end up with a prettier and somewhat younger greenlander.

f12 does not take screenshots sadly, I'd have to imgur and I'm lazy, try for yourselves, import your cutest scorclander on a greenlander and see a clear improvement, no more junky post appo girl, but a healthy one.
