How to handle a raid I can't defend against?
The Holy Nation is about to launch a second raid on my fort. The first raid I was only able to fight off with UC aid, but I don't know if they'll send reinforcements again.

Part of me just wants to wait at Catum until the raid ends, but I'm worried that if I do this the Holy Nation people will steal all the resources in my base or demolish the buildings.

So what do you guys recommend?

The best solution you have is to cowardly hide every one nearby, leave a guy or two to be punching bags, have them on parry only and fight a bit away from your base, that way the HN will not be hurt and will leave you to heal without spending ages healing their own troops, they'll aim for your base, your hurt guy will be able to heal in tranquility
Honestly I just abandoned the base altogether. I was able to relocate all my supplies to a storm house I own in Catun, so now I'll just wait until the Holy Nation soldiers leave. If they don't then I'm sure wildlife will eventually widdle away at their numbers.

Stock up with building mats before you start your base, then build walls around your base, and a single gate, and put up many turrets on the walls near your gate. Then when you get raided, you can have your men on turrets and some of people that are more skilled in engineering fix the gate WHILE the enemy is attacking your gate trying to bring it down. This works like a charm lol

if you completely abandon your base the raid will get delayed until you get back, you can also hide nearby and wait until they get bored leave, they might plunder your food storage, but I'm pretty sure raid teams can't do much more then that if they can't fight you. (comedy option: wait for the raid to start, then have someone stealth KO all of the raiders, if they're all KO'd the raid will count as defeated and they should leave.)

If I hide all my people in a bughouse or a storm house, will they break the door down?

they will.

Also note that, though i'm unsure about HN behaviour on that matter, some raiders decide to simply stay in your base...forever, it's rare but does happen.
