I think Hive should be allowed to wear just wooden sandals on their feet slot

you need to have feet to have a feet slot, hivers don't have feet, so how would they wear shoes? (also worth noting, hivers are naturally faster then other races, one of my hives with 62 Athletics has a run speed of 26mph while a greenlander with 63 ath can only run at 22, even with wooden sandals the greenlander would be slower)

Oh I see, thats fine then if they're already faster. Or they should have hive specific leg wraps or something.

I think NOT allowing them to wear wooden sandals IS the MAIN reason why Hive do not get to wear shoes or boots of any kind. They have a racial bonus of 20% more combat speed than other races (Hive soldiers only get 10% more combat speed), and with sandals they would get even more combat speed... up to 26% more total combat speed (sandals give 5% more so 1.05x1.2=1.26)

pretty sure you're getting mixed up between combat speed and combat move speed, going off of the wiki page (https://kenshi.fandom.com/wiki/Combat_Speed) there are no racial modifiers to combat speed, so hives get no advantage whatsoever. they DO get a 20% bonus to combat move speed, but that's just the weapon-ready-combat-shuffle that can be entirely circumvented with use of move orders.
