This mod has a pontoon bridge in it, but I don't know how well or if it works.

I have used pontoon bridges, but chars do not seem to recognize those as roads and only walk over the bridge if it happens to be on the path that they have choosen, which is only guaranteed if the bridge is between the ends of two roads.

did you tested by editing the road in game ? It's a hidden thing used to reduce the cpu usage when moving your unit over long distance, but if you add road yourself exactly where the bridge is and connect it to where your guys come from, it might work.

I often edit some road to match entrances of my base and didn't had any problem.

How do I edit the roads myself like that @oragepoilu?

Shft f11, navmesh tools, roads. The click once and drag to where it connects a green road segment to link it into the main road system npc use.

Interesting, I may have to try that.
If you ever do a Ctrl + Shift + F11 to reset the navmesh afterwards, do you have to redo the custom changes?
