Every time I see someone say WAYSTATION from now on I will ask.
WHICH ONE?
There are 3 Waystations in the current map. (And likely more to come)
One near Hub (South of it) one East of that, which is near Tiny Settlement, and one way the hell down on the south of the map.
Please ID which waystation you're talking about when referencing that you built near it.
That's a nice base by the way.
No idea where you are talking about, but this looks close to where I built my base. South of the Waystation south of Squinn, in the flatlands near the swamp.
30% water, 100% stone, iron and copper and like 50% fertility. Get's attacked by Berserkers, Khal's Chosen, Bone Dogs, and rarely Skin Spiders, but otherwise is a very safe base location.
That is a good area. There is flat land you can see on the map next to the tiny outpost to put a base. I chose there my first game, then i went south. On the far left SW of the map there is another waystation, just below the outpost is a small lake with a lot of flat land slavers everywhere. Im going after the slavers now pissed them off to a point we are enemies. The South part of the map is dangerous getting my people through the swamp was the hardest thing ever. Avoid the swamp if you can the spiders they are very OP and dont stay dead long.
So yeah, if I needed to get to the southern continent... I'd go through the swamp and stay the heck out of the hills and desert to the west.
Yeah lol i forgot about them.
I built down there too, except in a spot with 10% water. After a while, I built a smaller base a bit closer to that waystation to produce water.
Nearly constant wind power. Close enough to quickly go to the swamps to hunt turtles. That waystation and Squin are close for when you're first getting setup and need more supplies.
I seem to get a lot of people shopping, but I think they've run out of money or something. Now they're just loitering and periodically saying "I can't afford that".
I've had a few run ins with some of those shek groups, but mostly peaceful. It's kind of a perfect area for base building.
Devs will probably make it rain fire in the next update. Can't have nice things in kenshi.
Its directly down the hills from waystation I can almost order people to walk into the waystation from my base to trade. Only once I have been attacked by Kral's Chosen I suspect that they do not attack you unless they notice a shek with you or something, they just scoff at me and keep on walking.
Seems that most of the stuff either walks right past the location but on ocassion berserker or hungry bandits try to stay away from waystation and go past it east side through the mountains where my base is located and they caused trouble until I built the wall no they just go around it most of the time it seems
I might try looking for good base locations in some rough areas like the Cannibal Plains, Vain, Dreg, and the Shrieking Forest. Just to see if I can setup a functional and defendable base with a low stat skeleton party..
thats where i am south of the waystation (hook), near the lake there. I just completed my base added the walls with ramps. LOL im running through the ramp stairs :(, icant get on the wall.
See if rebuilding the Nav Mesh works to fix it, that usually does the trick for me.
Control Shift and F11 will rebuild it, and that may fix the issue.
