[SOLVED] Trouble with online multiplayer

There are no online games available to play. The fact the game is branded Clan Wars suggests a very active online community and was one of the main reasons for buying the game.

I've only been able to play online with people on a couple of occasions because there are literally no games to join. Please can some one confirm if something is wrong with my game?

I'm now stuck playing the AI which is equally poor. I really like worms and very dissapointed to find I can't play the game with decent opponents.

I never can find games in lobbies either, thats why you find friends who have the game and then you can play with them :)

Don't try to join games, create them. You'll easily find people to play with.

You will waiting at lobby during 20+ mins and after you will left from this empty lobby =(

When I create a lobby it is often filled within seconds and 5 minutes is the most I had to wait for someone to join.

Which multiplayer option is the most popular:
1) Online Multiplayer > Worm Net
2) Online Multiplayer > Quick Match > Deathmatch
3) Online Multiplayer > Quick Match > Forts
4) Online Multiplayer > Ranked Match
5) Clan Wars > Go to War > Play League Match
6) Clan Wars > Go to War > Play Friendly Match

I too am disappointed with the online aspect of this game. The title "Clan Wars" suggests online play itself and is why I bough the game. I have suggestions-

1. Why are the Wormnet and Clan War lobby areas split from each other? I jump from one to another looking for a match. It would be easier to see everything happening in one place.

2. Games appear in the lobby very frequently that aren't even available. These ghost games are old and probably launched already or the user left , bored because nobody joined.

3. A major bug here... If you play a clan wars match then move to wormnet for a friendly the clan wars settings can get stuck on your game. I played a friendly yesterday where I had completely different settings to the other players. Bah, this needs to be fixed.

4. It would be a great help to see games that are currently "live". OK, it wouldn't help me join there and then, but it would let me know that people are actually about playing and that I could join in soon.

This game is great fun when it's working ok but I feel the whole online aspect of it is very poorly implemented and I feel let down. I bought 4 licenses of this through steam for friends to play and the other 3 just aren't being used because the online play is so flakey.

and half of the time it seems that the worms clan war server can't be reach to reoprt in match wins/losses..

Come on Team17. I feel let down at buying an online orientated game that has so many online play major problems and the offline game is limited to the point that the AI worms provide no challenge and the Worm ops and Story can be easily completed in harldy any time

Please follow the steps below to ensure that you are attempting to locate the correct servers.

1. Launch Steam
2. Click Steam in the top left
3. Click Settings from the drop-down menu
4. Navigate to the Downloads tab
5. Please change the Download Region (We recommend trying UK-London or the closest option to you)
6. While in this window, please also ensure that the Download Restrictions field is set to No Limit (Unless you are on a fixed data plan)
