The new gameplay features added in Revolution/Clan Wars are worth a look, but overall, this just doesn't top the older Worms games, so if you're only going to get one game, I'd get Armageddon.
Or you can host your own games.
But anyway, the above is only really done by other newbies who like to host quick Shopper games. No real WA veteran will demand that you guess the rules they intend to use in their host.
i'm extremely dissapointed and glad that i installed the free multiplayer before buying this game. as it is now its not worth more then 5€ in my opinion :) i still like revolution much more
If you want a "modern" Worms game, get Worms Reloaded. It's a pretty good game, but it's arguably not as good as Armageddon. I've had a lot of fun with Reloaded, but Armageddon is the best.
