However, the best Worms game is still Worms: Armageddon. It is older and the graphics aren't anything special, but the gameplay is pretty much perfect.
There are not many great videos adequately showcasing W:A's ProjectX's amazing coolness. It's not quite as easy to capture ProjectX videos since the replays may be messed up, I think is the reason.
A similar problem is not many people bother to record good gameplay from WRev or WCW from what I've seen, maybe because for some people they get frame rate issues with Fraps open. Granted I'm pretty ignorant of these games, and haven't seen any great "Kodak" plays that never made it to video.
Despite my ignorance, I do not need to see more of WRev and WCW and its "Kodak" moments to know that W:A's ProjectX far surpasses, by magnitudes of 50, any of them. I may have to record some footage myself.
WA triumphs over all other Worms games because of ProjectX just as one of many competing reasons. Huge .png importable maps being another. In my opinion, only an uninformed person would play any other Worms game.
I play only ground schemes in Worms Armageddon, mainly Intermediate. So my oppinion is not based on the rope, but the game mechanics overall - WA is the only game in the series worth of spotlight, the only game id recommend, and its by far 1 of the best games i've ever played and i played a lot of games, competetively and casually and WA is perfect for both.
