Missing Particles/Broken Lighting + Workaround

Because of version #0147, the visual fidelity of the game got worse, not only did the lighting got worse, they removed explosion smoke, fire, and projectile trail particles from the game. I already reported this to Team17 with a potential fix but for now a workaround would be to downgrade to version #0121 (if you don't play online, don't care about specific bugs fixed, and don't care about balance changes.).
