I have never really understood the excuse back in revolution the reasoning for having this worm limit came down to screen sizes and resolutions when you can simply just scroll the screen like you would do in the old days but I'm not an expert in programming or coding language so I'm only understanding the problems from a players-point-of-view but I do feel this should be more than do-able really but the 3D envrionments might have something to do with it, I simply do know. Making the levels scroll-able would end the resolution debate really because it wouldn't matter how big the maps are really, you'll just need to scroll from side to side to see the other sides of the map.
In case this isn't clear, the 4-team 16 worm max limit is from every game since reloaded.
So it's 16 in total... Really too few in my opinion. But you also said that we can have "2 teams of 8 worms, or 3 teams 5 with 1 team having the extra worm". Do you mean that the customization options allow you to create multiple "8 worms team" like in Armageddon ? (even if we can't play all of them in a same game)
