Worms WMD Zoom Issues on Mac

Is anyone else having problems using Worms WMD on Mac?

I cannot seem to get the controller to zoom in or out. I have tried the following:
-I have updated to the latest "XBox 360 Controller Driver" (Version 0.16.4).
-I have customized my own buttons to verify that the game is reading the buttons I choose for zooming in and out.
-I have tried running the game on various resolutions and both in a window and borderless.

I am about to ask for a refund, but my husband and I are big worms fans and so really want to get this zoom feature to work. Without the ability to zoom out, how can we do long range attacks?
