Console ecosystems take 30%. Mobile ecosystems take 30%. Its the industry standard, and those that don't are either lacking in support infrastructure (example: itch.io) or additionally are trying to bully their way into the market so they can data harvest now and enshitten later (example: Epic).
While competition is healthy, Steam offers a lot in their ecosystem towards earning their cut that none of their competitors yet offer. Its more than I can say about the other closed ecosystems that have the advantage of a native storefront, yet charge the same rate.
Damn straight. Honestly I'm already pretty butt hurt by getting the Switch port when I could've this port instead...in hopes that it can be easily modded because, while I still like the base game, playing this rouge-like without anything new after so long does tend to get boring fast (At least having friends makes it less boring)... Even at that reduced price of $20-25, since I got the Switch port, there's no way I'm still going to buy this...it's either online modifiable or bust...
