[BUG] Cannot run ads

The production assistant told me to choose ads to run based on the audience and then they would happen automatically when I stop filming. But I can't do anything in the PDA except see the list of ads I have. When I stop filming I get the 'now a word from our sponsor' screen on the camera, but then it goes blank.

I thought maybe the ads were running but just not showing on the camera for some reason, but even if I leave the camera turned off for a whole day I don't make any money. New props are getting unlocked but I can't get any of them.

EDIT: Changed title to make it clear this is a bug and not just me being an idiot. I started this topic back during the demo fest, but the game is out now and people are still having this issue.

They're suppose to play automatically when the camera is off, unless you accidentally hit "tab" to stop them. If they're playing, you'll see them in the camera's screen when the camera is off.

Seems to be a major bug. Verifying my files got the first ad of the day to work, but once I film for a bit and then stop, it's the black screen again. The game looks interesting but I'm going to have to wait for reviews on performance/bugs before I would buy it.

How do you verify your files? Because I’m experiencing the same glitch.

From your games library you right click on a game and select "Properties", then "Installed Files", and there will be "Verify Integrity" option.

As I said, it didn't actually fix the problem in my case, but hopefully if enough people comment that they have this it will be fixed.

Following! I’m getting the black screen when I need ads, I’ve just got to the last day of season 3 and my money has disappeared too. I now have a zero balance and no way to make money! Hopefully they fix this bug!

I'm still having the same exact bug, along with one that makes things blurry whenever I pick up the camera. :/ Following.

Still experiencing this bug as well. And my income doesn't save when I quit to desktop and return. My progress is the same though
