Although I don't own one I've heard a mixture of reports so far. Some user settings sound overly ambitious for the hardware, whilst other players seems to be enjoying around 60fps.

Much like PFX I don't think there's enough scalability to the in-game settings, I'm very reliant upon writing custom configs to achieve my performance targets and frame time consistency.

Game loads and runs fine but input lag makes it unplayable for me. It's s shame because I played the crap out of Pinball FX 3 on Switch and was really excited about this.

I should add that I use my Steam Deck almost exclusively docked on my TV. So I was running the game at 1080. Even with my TV set to "game mode" as they suggested the lag was still too much for the game to be enjoyable.

1TB Oled LE

I just grabbed this on my break at work, and it runs like a dream right out of the box. No lag whatsoever. UdderJuice probably needs to fiddle with VSYNC and/or get a monitor with a higher refresh rate, those kinds of problems are usually tied to those issues. So far I'm having a blast on my Deck with no configuration needed whatsoever. Left and right flippers are L and R triggers. It's all totally logical. I'll probably remap the tilt function from being the left analog stick to the right one just as a personal preference though.

I'm on oled. I've set the lower resolution possible, window mode, and enabled FSR at 1.
Resolution scale at 80.
I play at 60 with almost all graphics at medium settings and very good visual fidelity.
Tdp at 13-15, GPU 1600.

Just play with the settings until you are happy: i'd say with some work it is very nice but definitely eats battery pretty fast if you want it at 60.

Working fine for me on a 64GB LCD Deck.

I've also played it on my Steam Deck, haven't run into any kind of issues so far.

Then again, I also played the demo for this game for hours on my Steam Deck and didn't have any issues there either.

I found some Pinball FX settings someone posted for Steam Deck, and while they did help, the flipper lag is still too much for my taste. And like someone else said, it drains the battery FAST. It's a bummer because I play almost exclusively on Steam Deck handheld mode. Pinball FX3 ran way better.

1TB OLED, runs great for me, just like Pinball FX
Has anyone tried playing in vertical mode on the Steam Deck? If so, what did you use to prop up/support the deck as I'd assume you'd also be using an external controller?

You've probably got a custom setting that's limiting it to 40. Mine does a solid 60.

I started it up today and yeah, 60fps now. weird

Steam Deck does weird stuff like that, maybe they snuck in some mini-patch or something. Glad it's fine now though!

Glad to hear it runs on steam deck as I just added this to my steam library and my only gaming pc I own is my steam deck.

Yeah, it's a blast so far, I'm getting pretty consistent 60FPS with only a few moments of frame dips to 55 for a split second which has never impacted my ability to play. I got top 4% in dailies yesterday just from using my Steam Deck, so clearly it's functioning well :)
