Not at the moment, that would require an in-game friend list with cross-platform search and invite facility similar to Rocket League. It would be a good feature.
I'm up for that and could integrate nicely with my alternative suggestion.
If a cross-platform / profile management system is too complex to implement or negotiate with platform holders, could a player tag others for a personalised Leaderboard instead?
Although you couldn't search / add specific users on other platforms, you could easily organise a private/friend tournament to locate and tag each other. Friend or foe!
See the chucky table.

Oh well, lesson learned.
Main problem with tournaments is the grindy spotlight feature and it only being based on points collected (as far as I can tell). The only thing that makes sense to play to grind XP and spotlight is Chucky's Madness (Multiball) mode.
Main problem with daily challenges for me is the "be in the top 50% of all players" badge. Sounded like fun and a bit of a challenge, but many players seem to own only Elder Gods. Meaning, as soon as I play a second table, no matter how badly, I'm in the top 50%.
Problem with daily challenges and tournaments alike are things like the random Extra Ball reward on Elder Gods. It gives 20 Million in most modes and that means having a good chance of reaching 50 Million for another EB = another 20 Million. So, on a 70+ Million score possibly 40 Million were purely based on chance. (I haven't gotten the EB in a couple of days, maybe they removed it, but there hasn't been a patch).
If you (Zen) add a lot of these grindy mechanics, what I don't mind per se, putting a little bit of thought into it's balancing to make it more entertaining, would be really appreciated.
Yeah, phone game mechanics like this shouldn't even be in phone games. In games people use to play on desktop PCs it is outright offensive. Want me to take my computer on vacation or in a hospital? Share accounts to have someone else do my gaming chores? C'mon!
Edit: the description for 'Maxed Out' is pretty much the same, did it happen there, too?
I'm back to one (on both), too. But it is just because I reached the next level of the badges. You sure you were reset because missing a day and not as a result of 'leveling up' the day before?
It's not like Zen to cynically and mindlessly ape the psychologically manipulative tactics used in mobile games...
