Please PLEASE disable Steam Cloud sync for settings files in Pinball M and FX

Right now Steam Cloud is enabled for two files, saves and settings. Settings should NOT be included here as it makes playing on two different computers a massive pain.

I’m not sure how to get the devs to respond or acknowledge this issue but this goes against Steam’s guidelines for the system and these are the only games in my library that have this problem.

Yeah it's a pain. I don't want to play on my Steam Deck anymore because of this issue.

It wouldn't be so bad if changing upscaling didn't require a full game restart but that's like putting salt in the wound.

Completely agree visual/control settings should only be stored locally. If it's causing issues I would just disable Cloud sync on one of the devices until addressed.

Yes, disable syncing settings file!!! Some of us have cabinet and handheld. You can imagine my surprise after playing on handheld and then going to my cabinet with 4k and 3 screens. Everything was messed up and had to redo all settings. I thought it was because of update. No other game does this.

Both Pinball FX2 & F3 suffer from the same thing.
I play on a 3 screen vPin cab, but it would be nice to be able to occasionally play it on a desktop PC without it messing up my cab settings upon returning to play there afterwards.
PLEASE Zen...ditch the cloud synced "settings", and just sync the game saves.

2025 and still an issue on this hot garbage pinball m. I’d like to play between steam deck and on pcvr with uevr but having to change upscalers and res is a pita

did you go into steam management and disable cloud saves? right-click said game and go into settings and untick cloud saves/sync.

I want cloud saves, what I don’t want is settings to be included in that. Why would you want resolution, graphics options, and controls to not be hardware specific? It makes going between Steam Deck and my desktop PC a bad experience.
