GoG save data to Steam

I am wondering if save data (logs and stats) will transfer to the steam version nicely. I have everything on Gog but sense Juggernaut still hasn't come out on gog and sense its on sale now on steam i'm thinking of getting the steam version. I just don't wana lose all my progress from Gog

Both the GoG version and the Steam version (with cloud storage turned off) store their save data in "%AppData%/Sword of the Stars - The Pit".

If you decide to switch to Steam:
1) Backup your save data!
2) Before launching the game, disable cloud storage through the Steam client.
3) Good to go!

If you encounter any problems, just post them here. They should be easily addressed.

will i be able to turn steam cloud storage on after? to save my data to it

Yes. Turn it on through the game's options screen, and it will copy your save games and profile over to the cloud storage.
