Game Dependancies won't start issue fix

In Steam, devs can set what dependencies a game needs to run, but sometimes those dependencies don't install correctly, without feedback to players, other than the game will not start. There are options when this happens, and this one user outlines it nicely below.

The game won't load

When I launch it, the game window never shows at all. Tried everything - cache clear, reinstall game, reinstall steam, I have the latest drivers, also tried compatibility mode for win7, win8 and Vista - still no result.

My pc is running Windows 10 Enterprise (64-bit), Memory 8GB, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100 CPU @ 3.70GHz, Motherboard ASRick - H110M-DGS, Video card NVIDIA GeForce GT 720.

[PROBLEM SOLVED] The problem was an issue installing dependencies on Windows 10 - the second dependency (the XNA Framework), may fail to install.

HOW TO FIX - Run .NET 4.0 installers (you can skip steps 1-3 if you have .NET 4.0 installed):

1. Go to <Steam-folder>\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DotNet\4.0\
2. Run dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe
3. Restart your computer
4. Go to <Steam-folder>\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\XNA\4.0\
5. Run xnafx40_redist.msi
6. Restart your computer
7. Launch game

We’re trying to find out why this hits some people and not others, but the workaround is helpful to share, appreciated. We’re also looking for a way to make it easier to find for people.
