The Pit Quality of Life Mod 2.1.0

Hi folks, I finished porting the changes from the Fan Mod that don't really affect game balance. This mod doesn't break the connection with Steam so you should be able to keep achievement hunting. Here are some of the changes included:

Features

• "Unlock All Recipes" button (affects game balance but by far most requested feature)
  
• Options to speed up the game drastically (NPC one is most important)
  
• Fast sleep without a bed (does not give immunity)
  
• Mouse scrolling works on most screens
  
• Sotsdex is linked so you can go from recipes to item and vice versa
  
• Updated HUD that shows the durability of your current weapon and armor
  
• If you drop a weapon and pick it back up it will remember its shortcut assignment

New Key Commands

• Control + Shift + G: Drops all items with durability
  
• Shift + G: Pick up all items
  
• Control + Shift + X: fast sleep like using a bed. No immunity like bed and you'll wake up when a monster comes into view
  
• Press ? when the targeting reticle is over a monster to bring up its sotsdex page
  
• Shift: Brings up another set of shortcuts for weapons/abilities
  
• Hold Control when next to a door trap to have the name pop up
  
• F10: toggle fullscreen

If you downloaded 2.0 make sure to get the latest version 2.0.1 as there was a big bug where sleeping wasn't restoring health :-0


Also fixed:
-Extra "Weapons:" on monster sotsdex
-Things like laser carbine weren't showing the right drop % because of the alternates that can drop (enduro, smart).

Question: After installing QoL2.0, my Sotsdex was empty. After removing it again, everything was back to the way it was before. Is that intended? Cause I'm not going to install it if it means starting from scratch (and then potentially losing everything again in case I ever have to remove it).

Ah sorry about that, the mod uses its own directory (for now) for saved games and profile progress. Want to make sure everything is good before risking anyone's files. You can copy your saved games and profile from:

C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Sword of the Stars - The Pit
to
C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\The Pit QOL Mod

The profile file is profile_progress.dat.

edited for the right file: profile_progress.dat.

default_profile.dat is what it copies when you don't have one.

Hi Nicholizard. Is it possible to limit zooming in out with mouse wheel so it wouldn't go in rounds after maximum / minimum zoom level has reached?

Hi Endy, thanks! So you mean make it so that it stops at the min/max without looping around? Seems like a good idea, I'll add that.

Ok changed the logic for zooming with the scroll wheel. It's available on the discord server's test version or you can wait for the next official release (probably a few weeks).
