A Mini guide for the pit.
Don't have the tools to make a full out guide for the pit, but I can give some help on some neat tricks.
if I get off my ass I might even spend time to figure how to update the wiki as no more changes will occur with no more updates.

(full DLC)
Currently only just beat the game with Engineer (easy) and a few failed attempts on marine (easy) where I got to the bottom and died.

This won't cover the basics as there is plenty of other guides which do that.
I have links to two those from youtube.

A Good one for guides is from: No Gimmick Gaming It's 5 years old but most points form his still stand.

Another guy who did guides and full insane playthroughs is a guy named: LuckyLuckLuc's Entertainment

If you don't want spoilers for these tricks. I would not read the rest of this post.

You might run into some items that have a Star on them it is a "legendary" item like Elixer of Immortal, The Spite, The Presence of Aias, or another item I would keep those items.

There are 2 armor and I would recommend right out of the gate
The first body armor I like to use is Ceramic Plate Armor. It has high durability (140) and armor (90). If you find this armor, start saving stat points for might. Or get a bio mod that boosts might. it is fairly common to find.

The Other body armor I would recommend as humans is The Enviro Suit. It has 70 durability and 60 armor. However you are immune to all gas attacks and corrosive/acidic attacks with it on. Your armor and inventory won't take damage from those when equiped.

The Neck equipment I like is Slave collar. If you depend on PSI then skip this one, as it reduces brains by 5 and PSI power by 30. brains can be lifted back up with a few level ups. Mainly as you won't need to spend points on Might as it gives +10 might, +1 speed, and reduces hunger rate by 1/3. It is basically wearable energy drink.

The Arms equipment that works wonders is The Charge Gauntlets. It functions like the shock Baton where you can inflict Paralysis and/or stun, But across all melee weapons. I tend to use it with any melee weapon, but if I really need to stun I pair it with the Lightning Blade. As it does a separate roll for stun/paralysis on top of what ever melee weapon your using.

One weapon type is ranged energy weapons like energy rifle and carbine Don't use them willy nilly unless you got stuff to reload them. as you will want to save them for specific enemies. Fireflies, and Spectres

The is one enemy most players will fear. The Von Neumann Probe. This enemy if it shoots at you and hits. will damage items, and rarely. ONE-HIT-KILL you. It is slow so I would stay out of sight of it and just throw grenades at it.

Lastly there is one status effect in the game that should be noted Pain. Any creature inflicted with pain can not use PSI until the effect goes away. Only three enemies in the game can create pain. Liir, Mothman, and the Zuul Lord. It comes from whip attacks. That means that while the Liir Seeker is weak because of hydration and dying without armor. He can use his natural melee to shutdown enemy PSI usage.

On note of that status effect brings me to my favorite support weapon. The Branding Blade. at first glance it is just a vibro blade you have less uses before reloading energy cells into it. However since it's red hot and inflicts pain, you can just run up to any PSI enemy like a Psirebral or Snakedog family smack them with the sword and shutdown the PSI. You can cancel out all PSI shields, reflect, healing, TK Fist, invisibility, fear, or any other attack with a single swing. Might take multiple hits for the pain to apply but you can shutdown any creature with PSI. Morrigi enemies will still be pain as spear and ranged attacks, but you can shoot them without worrying about shields/reflect.

If you haven't fought the final boss. he is tough. however with the Branding Blade he is a just a wimp. Have good armor and weapons, focus down the other female zuul elites in the room. Run back and reload/heal. Run up to him, get your psi shutdown by his whip. Smack him with branding blade so that he loses his PSI. With PSi out the window you have a gun he has a whip. Shoot him and reapply pain with branding blade when needed. Without PSI he can't heal and take forever to kill him.
after you beat him you win.

Comment what works for you. You won't find every item the time you need or want it each play through. but that is half the fun/difficulty.

I recommend the Japanese wiki with Google Translate[translate.google.com] over the English wiki because it's more complete.
