Black Ink

Black Ink

Pre Sales Q (reduce colors)
1 Can i turn a pictures into a toon? Like reduce colors?
2 Also as a new customer why do I have to pay for an update after purchase?
3 Is this soft wear dead? There has not been an update in over a year.

You are able to do any kind of color adjustments in a non-destructive fashion using the layer-editors

You don't need to purchase the update and application separately; the dlc is there for users who purchased prior to 2023 as Bleank could not afford to continue production without generating some revenue.

The software was just updated a few months ago to include new symmetry operators.

any suggestions for reduction of major culprits of crashing?

It really depends. I tend to get crashes when I'm adjusting layer editors that are nested within other operators, or if I'm not careful when I'm changing around parameters in the BSL editor. Its easy to lose sight of everything you're asking your computer to do. I'm using a surface pro 8, so the integrated gpu isn't well suited for black ink, but there's a slider in the settings that you can adjust (I forget the name right now) that can help with performance.

The most common crashes I experience are usually when my brush shaders are too complicated, so if you aren't doing any adjustments with the BSL editor, it might just be hardware related
