Brush stabilizer/flow?
Hello :blueeye: :blueeye: is there and if so where is the setting for the flow of your brush?

I don't mean smoothness, I already found that and it's purpose is to fix the lines's shape. What I'm talking about is a setting for how fast your line appears when you make a stroke. I can't function without it no matter how good the rest of the program is.

It's called "flow" in Photoshop and "stabilizer" in Paint Tool SAI, which you can quickly search if you're still unsure what I mean.

Cheers

Hmm, I see what you mean. It's something like this: https://x.com/u2Bleank/status/1544963873509412866.
Unfortunately, this feature will only be available in the upcoming update with the new brush engine.

Hm what appears to be shown in the link is a setting related to brush's transparency, which is not exactly what I mean.

The setting I'm talking about specifically affects the speed at which a stroke appears, being slower the higher the number. It's an intentional artificial lag that helps making longer steady strokes and can have it's levels adjusted to your liking.

https://youtu.be/Vwtrp9tQt5g?si=ynrEwpnsbmU251Bd this video shows it. Both examples have the lines drawn in an exact same speed but the second one seems to be slower due to the stabilizer. If the cursor was shown you'd see the line visibly drags a bit behind it.

I don't really understand the difference with our smoothness... https://blackink.bleank.com/Learn/Doc/Tools/Brush/#smoothness

Oooh I didn't notice you can adjust the strength of your smoothness. That was actually helpful to link me.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding then, and thank you :spider_love:
